  For the Love of Pluto!! - Lee's Horoscope Corner - Reading VI - Retrograde Revelations!

  Lee here after a pretty long hiatus! My deepest apologies for leaving my post as your astrological guide these past few months. Life, as they say, happens. I’ve been a busy little bee this holiday season but alas, there is much to inform you all, the heavens are bursting with chaos and joy and revelation, oh yes!
  
  Firstly, any of you who felt that communication, travel, and your overall every day process became exceedingly difficult these past three weeks were experiencing the common side effects of Mercury’s retrograde cycle. For those of you who don’t know, a retrograde cycle is when a particular planet appears to be rotating backwards when observed from an earth bound perspective. Of all the planets that have a retrograde cycle, Mercury’s happens most often, and tends to have a rather large effect. Mercury is the planetary ruler of communication and travel and when in the retrograde cycle, we may find that travel plans are suddenly cancelled, communication between our friends and loved ones becomes strained, and overall forward motion in our lives seems to be derailed. Fortunately, this cycle ended just a few days ago, so we all should start feeling some relief.
  
  Speaking of retrograde, I have another cycle that needs imminent discussing: Saturn’s retrograde cycle that began just as Mercury went direct. Saturn is the planet that produces the rules and structures we use to live our lives, showing us our guidelines as well as our limitations. When Saturn is in retrograde it is hard for us to assess what is realistic or expected in any situation, and this has an effect that can make many of us feel insecure. During this time (Saturn retrograde lasts until May 30th) we may feel our rate of activity slowing, but it is not that we are going backwards, just the opposite in fact! Saturn retrograde forces us to take a second look at the structures for our long-term goals. Right now it is crucial that all of us re-assess and make the necessary changes to our plans to ensure their success. Saturn retrograde truly is the influence that makes us check our lists twice, cross all our Ts and dot all of our Is.
  
  Also, I’m sure that Friday (January 15th) was quite a doozy for many of you! A solar eclipse in responsible Capricorn gave many of us the opportunity to make life-altering changes to our situations, but only if we have thought about the consequences carefully and rationally. This indeed was the time for decisive action, but not when taken from an impulsive, impatient perspective. We all can feel that change is in the air for 2010, but it is up to us now more than ever to make decisions based upon a mature and responsible outlook.
  
  Either way, Saturday brings all of us much hope! Now that Mercury has gone direct again, many of us see our plans coming together. Slowly we become more optimistic about the future, but the non-conformist Aquarius moon brings us a paradox. Right now we strive to be part of our social networks, but independent Aquarius may make us rebel against the group.
  
  All of these crazy forces stirring together in the cosmic soup have inspired the following advice to the following lovely signs:
  
  
  VIRGO: Yes, exhausting yourself too soon is your strong point, but that is not something you want to do this Saturday. You may have to take on a project that is a lot more work than your expected. If so, pace yourself, or you are in serious danger of burning out very quickly. You do not need to prove yourself to others at this time, walk away when it is necessary for your mental fortitude.
  
  CAPRICORN: The solar eclipse in your sign may have led to a sudden change in your priorities. Although you feel that you’re doing the correct and most important things you can, others may take this as some kind of bizarre mood swing. It’s in your best interest to moderate any extreme behavior at this time. This may mean watching how you express yourself a little closer than just in your words. Getting along with others is important right now and will be impossible if you’re outwardly stubborn about the sudden changes you feel you need to make.
  
  AQUARIUS: It’s normally easier for you to be logical than emotional, but the moon’s placement in your sign may bring intense feelings to the surface right now. You may feel you’re on a rollercoaster as you bounce back and forth between head and heart, having emotional outbursts one minute and overcompensating with an excessively cool demeanor the next. Find some middle road for expressing how you feel, for these hot and cold mood swings may confuse the people who surround you and could lead to difficulties.
