What is Third Eye Blind?
Stephan has mentioned that many people have written and said to him what Third Eye Blind means to them, in terms that have illuminated him --rebellion and liberation, alienation and longing to belong.
He's also said what matters is not what the band thinks it is but what you think it is. It is the community that comes together around this music that keeps this music alive.
So you tell us. What is Third Eye Blind? Please debrief.
We're going to take it all. What you say could end up in Third Eye Blind's bio.
Please send all responses to Arcana.
The 3 responses that resonate the most will receive signed autographed copies of Ursa Major. That should be enough to get Mephistopheles to start writing again (we're not letting you go, fucker!)

Honestly, Teb is the most literal and forgiving music. Since about the age of eight years old, there music has been embedded in me. The lyrics and thoughts run through my head, heart, and soul. I saw them in Tampa, two year's ago with my mother, brother and bestfriend. Third Eye Blind is a cornerstone in the Gimbert family. I know every word to every song known by them. I've said it once on their birthday card, I'll say it again. I am Third Eye Blinds biggest fan. Not a day don't I go without listening to them. People need that extra something to get them by, Drugs, Alcohol, Pills. That is everyone's Third eye. My "Third Eye" is Third Eye Blind. They are what get me by. They are my One in Ten. The "Blind" in TEB is the oblivious nature to one's seeing of their Third eye. They ignore it and make excuses because it get's them by even if it's bad for you. I've written college papers on them, more or less analyzing their lyrics. Even though I knew every word to their song, doesn't mean I literally know every word to their songs. Stephan Jenkins writes these songs from the heart. The one place you feel true love. People can't feel what other people are going through. SJ writes his music so clearly that people actually FEEL what he thinks and feels. What ever inspires him to write such mindfull music, must have real special meaning to him. That's what I think of Third Eye Blind. Like I said before, I am Third Eye Blinds biggest fan.
Third Eye Blind was an amazing band that has helped me and many other people get through difficult times. However it seems like they are falling apart. The band is experiencing a lawsuit from a second guitarist. In my opinion his voice needs to be heard and you can do this by checking out http://www.killyourstereo.com/news/5944/third-eye-blind-guitarist-sues-rest-of-band/. Hopefully they will be able to resolve their issues and continue to write and perform beautiful music.
3eb ain't much without Tony!
Words can not adequately express how their music makes me feel and what it's done for me.
I won't even attempt to tell you, i don't have the wordsmith skills.
It doesn’t matter how many times I have listened to your songs, how embedded in my cells they have become - I am surprised at how they can still reach down and touch me in places I had forgotten run that deep. The flame that flares at the flesh and blood of your spark is almost painful in the fierceness of its intensity. I savour the taste of your art as it resonates with my essence and I delight in the fact that when it is finished, I can experience it all over again. Thank you for the passionate reminder of how it feels to be so alive.
3eb is the bomb. It's what I listen to when I'm fucked up. And when I'm sober. It makes sense all the time. It sounds good all the time.
Everything you've wanted to say but couldn't find the right words
It's the soundtrack to my life. It seems everytime there's complete upheaval in my life 3eb comes out with a new disc and I've something to inspire me to pick myself up and start over
Third Eye Blind is like the sand beneath my toes; they give me a feeling, an earthy feeling. They help me believe in a faith that grows. And hearing their music-especially when they use the four right chords-can make my cry. When listening to their music I feel like I can die, and that would be alright.
Third Eye Blind is like an old friend coming over to visit me. They help me take the moment of hope and let it run, and make sure I never look back at all the damage I have done. They make me believe that things happen for a reason, though they never go as planned. They give me the courage not to mend or bend, though it's not easy being me.
Third Eye Blind is my crystal baller. They convince me to always take the high road, though I don't know where it ends. They remind me of tomorrow, and the promise that it brings. I'm homesick for their primal knowing.
Third Eye Blind helps me cut ties with all the lies, that I've been living in, even when my friends have left me and I've been dismissed. They make me want to face my demons, and put the past away. No matter how close to the ledge I may be, they always make me step back.
Third Eye Blind is what helps me careen through the universe, my axis on a tilt. When I listen to them I feel guiltless and free, and I hope to always take that piece of myself with me. I can't get away from them, but I don't want to. They make me forget myself in the best way possible when the world darkens around me. They force me to look a little deeper into myself, like J.D. Salinger. They are frank and sexy, and quite honestly, I'd be happy just to see them. They take me to a place I never knew, and make me feel angsty enough to start a riot, asking for no forgiveness, and never compromising. They make me feel like I can do anything, and I never want to take back the piece of me they've taken,
Third Eye Blind is like fancy cheese, it's fantastic when you first taste it but changes and only gets better as time goes on
